Recreation: Adult Programs
What is Pickleball? Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. This recreational sport is growing in popularity with all ages! Come give it a try with friends on Sunday afternoons. Equipment is provided, gym footwear is required. All skill levels welcome!! (under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult)

CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification
Two day class: April 25th & 26th, 2015
Dryden Recreation will be hosting a two day CPR/AED and First-Aid Certification/Recertification course! In this course you will learn how to do CPR on Adults, Children and infants, learn how to properly use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and perform basic first-aid. You can come for a recertification if you need to update for professions such as coaching or lifeguarding. This is also a great certification for youth coaches, babysitters or those who care for elderly family members. 80% of all cardiac emergencies happen in or near the home and CPR/AED use is one of the most crucial steps in the event of a cardiac emergency, so the skills you learn in this class could help save the life of a friend or family member! Each participant will receive a CPR mask and a practice first aid kit to be used in class and kept after completion of the course!

Bob Slocum Co-Ed Softball
This league is an organized, fun, and worthwhile adult softball league for men and women ages 18 and up. Ages 16 & 17 are welcome to play with a parental waiver signed. League Play Begins: June 2nd
Who: Ages 16 and up (16-17 need parental waiver) When: Games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Read below for important details!
Money will be used to reserve the fields, buy equipment, and to get a referee during playoff week as well as trophies for the league winners.
Games will be held Monday nights at Dryden High School starting on TBD. The season will be 8 weeks long, with a playoff tournament on the 9th week. We have 3 fields at the high school so multiple teams will be playing each week; we may also be using Montgomery Park.
Minimum number of players per team is 9, you can have more as subs, the limit is 15 (for an individual to compete in the playoffs he/she must have played 3 games in regular season)
Teams are co-ed, so there must be a minimum of 4 women on each team. Each team must have a team captain that will manage their team and be their “team contact” for important info (game cancellations, different playing field, etc.) and league updates.. although that will be the purpose of the facebook page as well.
More information to follow as registrations come in!! Game schedules will be put out the week before games start!
