- Funding gap
- Is there a time limit on TAP and Multi-Modal funds to be spent?
- Are Erdman Anthony and NYSDOT willing to pause for a period of time?
- What other supplemental funding options are available?
- What have other similar communities done?
- Potential cost-saving options:
- What non-standard trail design/construction options are available?
- Elimination of some/all of fencing on approaches
- Extension of abutments into limited-access portions of Rt. 13 corridor
- Reduction of bridge span, and moving walls closer to Rt. 13
- Narrowing trail on approach to less than 10` in width (reduce by 2′)
- Narrowing trail on bridge to less than 10’ in width (reduce by2′)
- Reducing thickness of trail sub-base where it is over historic rail bed
- Are there other potential cost saving or scope reduction alternatives?
- What are the lowest cost modifications of the bridge and trail design that would meet funding standards?
- What non-standard trail design/construction options are available?
- ROW acquisition
- With acreage numbers provided, can NYSDOT get land acquisition estimates? How soon?
- How can NYSDOT (and we) persist in non-coercive efforts with landowners?
