Broadband Committee

Started in 2019, the goal of this committee is to establish and install a municipal-owned Broadband Utility for the residents in the Town of Dryden.

Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 10:30am via Zoom (see calendar for meeting details).

  • Jason Leifer, Chair
  • Dan Lamb – As Deputy Supervisor, Dan Lamb brings over two dozen years of experience working at the local, state, and federal levels of government to work for the town. Lamb’s familiarity with government programs and elected leaders has raised the profile of Dryden Fiber. Lamb arranged Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s visit to town hall and endorsement of the project. As a senior lecturer at the Cornell Brooks School of Public Policy, Lamb has led studies to help improve Dryden Fiber’s marketing and financial modeling.
  • Mark Wilson – Mark Wilson moved to Dryden in 2006 and works for the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University. He has been a web developer since 1998. Before moving to Ithaca he worked remotely as a contract developer for Ford Motor Company, where he was part of the team that set up their first dealer web portal in response to the Firestone tire recall. Mark joined the Broadband Committee to help build a publicly owned, affordable and reliable broadband solution that will make Dryden even more attractive as a hometown for the increasing population of remote workers.
